Me, Myself, and I... according to LJ, it's been 26 weeks since i updated it As I sit here awaiting a New Year’s Eve party, I can’t help but think of how the year 2006 has changed me. It was a year that will be in my memory for as long as I live. A year of great trials and tribulations, tears and drama, a lot of laughter, and most of all: optimism. Here’s my year in review: -The year started off with us in Toronto finding a permanent home. Our first Canadian winter was dawned upon us and whew! It was cold! The month of January were spent observing the Canadian lifestyle, buying winter coats/parkas/gloves/mittens/toques, attempting to enjoy the snow, and getting past the depressing low of winter -February was a good month for we decided on a permanent location: Hamilton ON, population 200,000. It was a good month also because after two months, I was to go back to school. It’s not until I was deprived of the school social activities that I realized how much I love being in that environment -The month of March was a peculiar one. As my birthday month, it has always been surprisingly depressing and drawn-out. This year was a little bit different. I had a surprise party thrown for me by friends that I’ve only known for like five weeks in hopes of cheering me up about missing a Florida birthday. That was probably the turning point of this whole ordeal, because for the first time I realized something: the upside of moving here is that I did not lose anyone, I doubled up the ones that I knew and loved -The spring came and went. I finished my first Canadian semester with pretty high marks and I awaited the summer - The summer was a time when my entire view of Canada was flipped. It was a time when Canada’s stereotypes were shattered, because I learned that it gets HOTT in Canada. By hot, I don’t mean warm, I’m talking 98 degrees hot. I’m talking humidity up to your eyes. My entire summer was spent with my windows open, the air conditioner blasting, and less shirt-wearing than I’ve ever done! - The Fall soon arrived and I anticipated my return to school more than anything else. School started, and with school comes the stress, and that’s the way I like it So overall, my year was a pretty phenomenal one. There were many internal factors as well that I can’t find the words to describe that happened to me. I changed, and so has my view on life and the future. (To quote rent) So, ‘in daylight, in sunset, in midnight, in cups of coffee, in inches, in miles, in laughter, in joy, in five hundred twenty five thousand x-hundred minutes’, I laughed, cried, jumped, sang, danced, acted, slept, ate, ran, read, wrote, talked, talked, talked, yapped, sat, chilled, drank, and had the year of my life! May 2007 bring you an abundance of Joy and Merriment
Current mood: nostalgic.

so halloween past hahaha, i was donna summers. meaning i dressed in the dress, the wig, the earrings, the high heels and walked around school all day and also won the "best costume contest" hahaha the show opened last friday and it's a smash. it's do different with an audience because everyone laughs and it was marvelous and now im tired So Green and Gold Spirit Day was last week Now it’s supposed to be like an activity day for the grade 9’s run by the student council, but it just turns out to be institutionalized hazing Hehe, there were eggs, whipped cream, mud, water (and it was 27 degrees), and like a lot of other stuff Even me, as a junior, got stuff thrown on me ok....what has been up lately with me? well umm......the improv-a-thon is tomorrow if no one knows what that is, it's basically a 24-hour fundraiser for the drama department where students get sponsored to improv for 24 hours. because mrs. fletcher is having foot surgery, she left it in charge of like 5 people and we basically are killing ourselves i've been at school at 7 and leaving at like 7 every night. and i have A Funny THing Happened On The Way to the Forum rehearsals at 7:30, or work right after, so i'm going crazy i've had like 3 hours of sleep all week...i swear hehe\ oh....and i did get voted grade represenative for student council....it was a very tight race, but i'm glad i won so it's been a while livejournal what's been happening? asked cymone out, broke up with her two weeks later my show is getting on ground, we open in two weeks school is hanging there i'm lost through chemistry and i got voted grade 11 rep! so yeah, first day of school totally rocked my freaking socks off umm...math is like....blah....omg, why did i pick Enriched? the whole class comprises of asians and then me. Everyone's IQ is like three times mine and they're all like brainiacs. I mean, i'm pretty good at math, but i take it in a fun relaxed way. they're so tense and so serious, how can they do anything haha, biology is pretty fun too. I got soojin and like lauren in that class and robert and titus so it's going to be a fun year haha...Anthropology is going to be a tough one. the cirriculum is exciting, but the teacher is like as dead as a dodo bird...seriously, it wouldn't hurt to put some pitch and excitement into your words umm...yeah, so then at lunch we went to little ceasars and ended up eating like 4 boxes of pizza! ok, so that was that today was also the first day of vocal rehearsals for "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" I'm a protean, so i'm in only 5 songs......but OMG they're like HUGE Company numbers.....i have soo much harmonies to memorize, it's not even funny but i'm lovin' it Current mood: tired.
TOMORROW IS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! so i went school shopping today omg...i don't remember things being that expensive i went with $300 and only ended up with like a couple of bags of stuff. I remember the good days when that much money could get me like two handful of huge heavy bags and another thing i've noticed is that i ALWAYS start my entries with the word: "So" lol |
